SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Mrs. Jean Berube has 43 years experience teaching physcial education activity courses, major courses, health, and Personal Discovery courses.  She coached women's field hockey for 7 years and founded and has coached the Gymnastic Club for 40 years.

She is the founder and director of the Personal Discovery program which began in 1979.  Mrs. Berube receved her BA and MS degress from the University of Maryland.  She has completed the USDA certificate program in Natural History.  Mrs. Berube is a certified instructor in WSI, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Lay Responder and Water Safety.

She is a member of AAHPERD, AEE, National Audubon Society, Defenders of Wildlife, Sierra Club, American Canoe Association and The Nature Conservancy and keeps abreast of trends in physical education and coaching through professional development activities.
